School Holiday Rockstar Career Kickstarter Band Program
Get the RockStar Experience These School Holidays!
During the upcoming school holiday break we are putting on a special Rock Band program for all of our junior and teen students aged 8+
Students will be invited to special workshops where we will teach them to sing and play along to classic rock repertoire on guitar, bass, drums and keyboard before putting them together into bands for performances at the end of the day.
Each workshop runs for 4 hours and will keep your kids entertained while providing them will valuable musical skills and an experience they’ll never forget.
(Plus it will give us a head start on preparation for the next concert)
How It Works
Each day, students will work on a selected song. They will rotate between learning Guitar, Bass, Drums and Keyboard before being guided through a voice session and split up into bands to work on playing through the song. At the end of the day, each band will do a performance of their chosen song in front of their peers.
(We will provide students with a playlist and sheet music for the songs so that they can become familiar with the structure and parts of the songs ahead of time)
We will also make an effort to group students by age and ability during the Band Workshop sessions later in the day

Tuesday the 28th of June
Thursday the 30th of June
Wednesday the 6th July
Schedule
Workshops start at 10am and conclude at 2pm with a 30m lunch break in the middle. Please aim to arrive no later than 9:50am so that we can start on time.
9:45 Arrival
10am – Welcome, Housekeeping
10:10 – Session 1: Guitar & Bass Workshop
10:40 – Session 2: Keyboard Workshop
11:20 – Session 3: Drumkit Workshop
12:00 – Lunch Break
12:30 – Session 3 – Vocal Workshop
1:00 – Session 4 – Band Workshops
1:30 – Session 5 – Performances
2:00 conclusion and pickup
Additional Info
- The program is open to students aged 8 to 17
- Students can attend one session as part of their membership in place of regular lessons for the school holiday period
- Students can attend an additional workshop at a cost of $120 per day
- There will be a 30m lunch break, students can bring their own lunch or opt-in for a catered lunch for an additional $10
- We will be working on different songs each day
Please Note
- There will be no regular Junior Jammer sessions during the school holiday period
- Little Ninjas Sessions will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the school holidays at their regular times
- There will be no junior lessons running on Mondays, Fridays or Saturdays during school holidays
