Guitar Lessons In Melbourne

At this age group we have a specialised approach to learning that meets the needs of students at this level of development.

We have 45 minute group lessons that blend learning guitar, singing, body percussion and a hollistic approach to learning that nurtures all essential musical skills while building a love and appreciation for music.

We learn simplified versions of popular songs and build a solid foundation of musical skills that students can build from as they grow older and become more mature.

Note: some kid's are ready for music lessons as young as 5 while others take a bit longer to mature. We offer the free trial lesson to make sure you're child is ready to learn guitar with us.

Our children's guitar lessons programs are fast paced, high energy and engaging so that we can meet the needs of modern children.

Our 45-minute sessions allow us to progress through our Guitar Ninjas Program book work, explore essential music theory concepts and work on repertoire with time for games in between each session to reset energy and attention spands.

We teach classic hits and contemporary music examples that children will instantly recognise and be eager to show off to family and friends motivating them to practice at home.

We also include access to our Guitar Dojo Online learning portal which contains video lessons, interactive practice logs, musical examples and competitive scoreboards to embrace technology and provide supplementary learning opportunities at home.

As our children grow into teenagers something magical happens... 

They start to make their own musical choices and identify with artists and styles that reflect their developing identity.

Music becomes increasingly more important as an expression of identify, and with teens these days being busier than they ever have been, a relief from the pressure of study and stresses of every day life.

Our Teen Guitar Lessons are 45 minute sessions that blend both relevant theory and practical skills into a program that will have them playing along to classic and contemporary rock & pop music that they know and enjoy.

Our Teens are given the opportunity to go beyond basic lessons and participate in band workshops, musical ensembles and the many performances and showcases we put on throughout the year.

We also have specialised programs for VCE Guitar and VCE Music to supplement your teen's high school music classes and ensure they get the best ATAR possible.

Every single day I meet adults who tell me they wish they'd never given up guitar earlier in life and regret their decision not to stick with it or take it up earlier in life.

I'm yet to meet a single person that's regretted taking lessons with us once they've gotten started.

While many adults are apprehensive about their capacity to learn guitar, there are many advantages to learning how to play guitar as an adult that you probably wouldn't have had you started earlier in life.

Teaching adults presents a unique set of challenges compared to teaching kids.

Adult students have a developed brain and thus, learn much faster than children and are able to grasp more complex topics with ease.

Adult students also have better concentration, can define and articulate goals that that they want to work towards, and are taking up the hobby because they want to, not because their parents are forcing them to.

When I am teaching adults, 

In Our adult Guitar Lessons we focus on teaching you fundamental skills and essential topics so that you can play along to your favourite acoustic guitar and electric guitar songs right away in a simplified fashion using our Level-Up System.

As you improve your skills we will work on more challenging concepts and over a period of several months to several years help you work towards playing songs exactly as they appear on the recording.

We'll cover all of your favourite rock, pop, blues and campfire strum along songs including lead techniques and solos.

Learning piano is like learning a new language- you need to work at it consistently to make it stick.

Our learning takes place in small groups of up to 6 students of similar ability. As you improve you're invited to more advanced groups and additional sessions like band workshops, songwriting classes and jam sessions.

You even get to volunteer to perform at our student showcase events when you feel confident enough to play in front of others (and there is absolutely ZERO pressure to do so if you don't want to perform)

The way we teach gives you both a new social network of other people who are equally enthusiastic about playing guitar and the opportunity to learn and jam with others while still providing one-to-one attention and the ability to work on your own at different points of each lesson.
